Natural Acne Treatments

Natural Acne Treatments

There are tons of wonderful organic, natural acne treatments available on the market now. You can also consider a few homemade acne treatments. After all, what did people do before modern medicine? Acne is a widespread issue with teenagers, and even adults. No matter what age you get acne, your best option is to implement homemade acne remedies as soon as possible. This will increase your chances of curing our acne once and for all.

To better help the battle, below are some facts about how acne is created.

Sebum, a clear waxy element made of lipids, acts as a natural emollient and wall. It helps protect and waterproof hair and skin and keep them from becoming dry and cracked.  People who are "blessed" with oily skin think their skin is dripping oil, but they generate only 2 grams of sebum a year! Sebum became public enemy number one in the battle for clearer skin. It is just as ridiculous as saying that tears should be at fault for smudged mascara! Skin experts insist that sebum combines with dead skin cells and bacteria to form small plugs in the skin's pores. The only way to keep skin clean, they insist, is to completely end the production of sebum. Rather than promoting good organic face care habits that would remove dead skin cells and bacteria buildup, these "experts" advise to deprive the skin of its vital fluid with the drug isotretinoin or "deep" cleansers that inflict disruption on the skin's nature-given capability to cleanse and revitalize itself through cellular change and natural moisturizing.

Facial oil glands secrete an oily substance called sebum, which is the skin's natural moisturizer. Sebum travels into the follicle, then flows out the pore onto the surface of the skin, where it forms a protective coating.

Those having natural oily, and acne prone skin conditions should make sure their face is cleansed and cared for. This also causes some to over-zealously clean! This is not good, and even some "experts", beauty manufactures and dermatologist recommend stripping skin of its vital fluid by the use of harsh synthetic and toxic chemicals. You can check the ingredients of your product and reference back our toxic chemical list to see if you are using any harsh chemicals. Over cleansing and the use of harsh acne products can actually make the problem worse, when you strip the sebum (natural face oil)your face automatically thinks it needs to produce more, causing more clogged pores and even worse acne conditions. Your face could also become dry, tight, and scaly, causing increased fine lines, aging, and wrinkles!

The solution to keeping a good balance on oil secretion is to cleanse morning and night (no over cleansing!) with organic cleansers, and the use of organic moisturizers. There are also many great organic acne spot treatments and home remedies. Its very important to feed the skin with nutrients and substances that resemble our skin's own oils. Synthetic moisturizers sit on top of the skin and because they cannot be absorbed and can clog it up and cause bacteria and pimples.
